About Us

We've been hosting house concerts in our Rockville, MD home since November 1997. With more than 100 concerts, we have presented our very favorite singer-songwriters inside and outside our home. Most listeners find the atmosphere intimate and comfortable; it’s a chance to get to know the performers and hear their songs without the smoke and distractions of other, more traditional venues.

We love to find new (to us) talent, but nearly all of the musicians we present are people we have seen perform many times before. Each year we attend dozens of concerts and a few festivals and folk music conferences. Scott serves as a board member for Focus Music and for the Takoma Park Folk Festival. Various family members have volunteered at events including Country Roads Folk Festival, Susquehanna Music and Arts Fest, World Folk Music Association benefit concerts and Folk Alliance international and regional conferences.
