Rachael Kilgour expertly balances her poignant, literate songs with her quick wit, landing somewhere between a comedy special and a funeral. Listeners can expect to laugh, weep, and reflect on their own relationships with fatherhood, mortality and grief. She was the 2015 Grand Prize Winner of the NewSong Music Competition and a 2017 Kerrville New Folk Contest Winner, and has been featured at NY’s Lincoln Center and DC’s Kennedy Center.
West Virginian Chris Haddox says he writes and sings about “religion, firearms, courthouse squares, goats on trampolines, shoes, fiddles and hurricanes.” He deftly combines humor, sarcasm, and blunt honesty to create songs that are accessible and relatable. He released his first album in 2022 at the age of 61.
