Spice Cake is a blues duo featuring versaltile singer Yaya Patterson and veteran guitarist Miles Spicer. They collaborated in 2022 to compete in a local battle of the bands — they won, earning a trip to Memphis for the international Blues Challenge. You might recognize Miles from his 30 years in the DC-area blues scene, including a Moore Music appearance as part of the MSG Acoustic Blues Trio. Yaya is a joyful and creative recent addition to the local music commuinity after formally training in jazz singing and music therapy at Temple University.

Andrew Dunn is a songwriter from New Jersey, After more than a decade as a school music teacher, he left the classroom for the stage. In the troubadour tradition, he has been carving his way back as a factory worker, a carpenter, and a Triple-A driver composing lyrics and melodies between calls. His keen and often surprising observations deconstruct life’s complexities, framing them like a poet journeyman on a building site. His songs have been called “rare…with a gravity akin to James Taylor.”

Meghan Cary performs music that has been hailed as healing, inspiring and infectiously joyful. Named Billboard’s “Critic’s Choice” for her debut EP, the stage actress turned folk rocker engages listeners with masterful storytelling and anthemic songs. Her smoky voice, emotional singing, and vulnerable writing garner favorable comparisons to Melissa Etheridge, Brandi Carlisle, and Bruce Springsteen. She is a frequent performer at venerable festivals including the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Spring Gulch, Huntington, and DelMarVa Folk Festival.
